ANALYSIS REPORT
ARCHITECTURE HISTORY & THEORY
The objectives of this project:
-
Employ appropriate visual and verbal architectural vocabulary when referring to building types, series and periods.
-
Show the appropriate sequence of historical periods and how they are represented architecturally.
-
Discover the way in which many varied factors contribute to the development of form.
Task
Students need to conduct research and architectural analysis on a selected building. An A4 digital booklet and A1 poster should be printed in integration with Augmented Reality using BLIPPAR application. Our group choose 2 buildings from Age of Enlightenment which are the Altes Museum and Chiswick House.
FINAL OUTCOME
A4 Booklet
We chose the "Age of Enlightenment" as our era and two of the buildings are the Royal Palace of Madrid from Spain and Saline D'Arc et Senans from France. We included some information about the history, architectural style, building materials, and other aspects of the buildings in the A4 booklet. The Blippar app was integrated into the A1 poster's newspaper-style design and newspaper layout.

TAYLOR’S GRADUATE CAPABILITIES
With the aid of this assignment, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the building's context, history, architectural layout, construction, structure and material analysis, as well as architectural element/component analysis. Learning all of these new facts and applying some of the knowledge we had acquired to this project was a lot of fun. In addition, we had to create a poster using BLIPPAR, which none of my group members had ever heard of. This assignment taught us about this brand-new programme, and I am impressed with the results we were able to achieve using it, despite the fact that it took us a while to figure out how to use it properly. Aside from teaching me how to compose and organise a study, how to put together illustrations and text, and how to compose a design layout, this assignment also introduced me to the activities of culmination and production of analysis through assemblage, chronological indices, and evaluation information. We will meet with the lecturer once a week to give him updates on our research. He was really kind and helpful.
